Bringing Your Pain and Questions to God
“In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.”
— Ephesians 4:26
Anger in grief can feel like a wildfire—hot, uncontrollable, and frightening. You may feel angry at the situation, at people involved, or even at God Himself. These feelings are natural and valid. Anger is a sign that your heart is hurting deeply, and it demands to be heard.
God doesn’t reject your anger; He invites you to pour it out before Him honestly. You don’t have to hide your frustration or pretend everything is okay. God’s love is big enough to hold your questions, your confusion, and your cries of “Why?”
When you bring your anger to God, He helps you navigate it without becoming consumed by it. He offers you healing strength to release bitterness and begin the journey toward peace.
“Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.”
— Psalm 55:22
Remember, anger is a step on the path to healing—not the final destination. Let God carry your burdens while you work through this raw emotion.
Closing Prayer
Father,
I am angry and hurting, and sometimes I don’t understand why You allow pain in my life. Help me to bring my anger to You without shame or fear. Teach me how to trust Your goodness even when my heart is heavy with frustration. Give me patience and healing as I navigate this difficult emotion.
Amen.
